Don\u2019t they come from your desires that battle within you? You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. When you [do] ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>The source of conflict is this: <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>_______________________________________________________.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Two things we must acknowledge:<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><b>I am ________________________________________________.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>What ______________may not be what ______________________.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>Things we must learn to say:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>&#8211;<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>&#8211;<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>&#8211;<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>&#8211;<\/b><\/p>\n<p><em>*Note: some materials \u00a0taken from Andy Stanley&#8217;s Future Family series.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>This Week&#8217;s Family Challenge<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>Families: <\/b>Set aside about 20 minutes to go over this week\u2019s challenge,\u00a0 Make sure that everyone in the family understands the objectives clearly.<\/p>\n<p><b>Individuals: <\/b>Take this challenge to your family of origin or with people at work.\u00a0 It really could apply just about anywhere!<\/p>\n<p>The goal is to <b>pause before conflict\/confrontation <\/b>to consider the key ideas presented this week.\u00a0 Ask yourself:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>What do I need to acknowledge is \u2018my part\u2019 in the conflict?<\/li>\n<li>What does God want in this situation?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Also, actively <b>seek opportunities to use the four \u2018things we must learn to say\u2019 <\/b>with each other.
