Pestilences
Signs from Heaven

Every new day gets us one day closer to the end.

Every new day gets us one day closer to the end. Always Be Ready

Living in the Moment: Fully Aware

Luke 19:1-10

Jesus was fully aware of the opportunities around him (and stepped into them).

Luke 19:1

Opportunities to serve others do not always come at convenient times.

Luke 19:2-4
Luke 19:5

We need to see people for they could become in Christ.

Jesus wants people to know he SEES them, KNOWS them, and CARES ABOUT them.

Luke 19:6

People will start to realize Jesus sees them, knows them, and cares about them once we realize it’s our job to show them.

Luke 19:7
Revelation 3:20
Luke 19:8
Luke 19:9-10

In order to show them, we need to be willing to step into their world.

Living in the Moment: How Can I Help?

How Can I Help?
Matthew 19:28-30
Matthew 19:30
Matthew 20:16
Matthew 20:17-21
Luke 9:54
Matthew 20:22-28
Instead of striving for success, seek to serve.
The greatest among us is the one who serves others like Jesus did.
Are we doing the work of a servant?
Do we have a servant’s heart?

Jesus is looking for people willing to do the work of a servant, with the heart of a servant.

Living in the Moment: Busy, Busy, Busy

Luke 10:38-42
(picture of Mount of Olives)
Don’t be too busy for God
Don’t be too busy for God, er no?
Luke 10:41-42
Jesus highlighted the importance of prioritizing our spiritual nourishment
In the midst of our busyness, don’t neglect the one thing that truly matters—our relationship with God
Mary made a conscious decision that prioritizing Jesus in that moment was what she needed
We must be purposeful in finding harmony between work/activities and spiritual growth
